Charity food centres across Oxfordshire offer vital support to individuals during difficult periods, and we are highlighting the outstanding contributions of their dedicated volunteers.

This Oxford Mail archive picture collection features some of the key figures steering important food banks in Oxfordshire along with the staff members who ensure their continued operation.

Photographs showcase food banks spanning from Oxford to Banbury, Wallingford to Didcot, illustrating that residents in every area occasionally require additional assistance.

Also featured are images of the Oxford Community Emergency Foodbank, which originally launched at St Francis Church Hall in Hollow Way in 2008.

The organisation has since expanded to assist hundreds of individuals throughout the city through its three locations, comprising its initial St Francis Church site alongside Barton Community Church and Littlemore.
