Police in Oxford continue their search for a fifth suspect following a group attack on New Year’s Day, with four individuals already in custody.

Thames Valley Police confirmed on Monday, March 23 that officers are attempting to locate Geraldo Noka in connection with an assault involving multiple attackers.

Noka is the fifth man officers have identified as being linked to the reported attack on two men in their twenties outside Cafe Baba and Bodrum on Cowley Road on January 1 at approximately 4.30am.

According to police, Noka is understood to have been part of the group responsible, and an appeal to locate him was initiated more than a week ago.

The suspect is described as a 22-year-old white man of average build standing around 6ft tall, who is known to visit the Cowley Road and Iffley Road areas of Oxford.

Officers have already taken four individuals into custody regarding the assault.

A force representative confirmed that Arber Spata and Arger Poleshi continue to be held on remand after charges were brought earlier this year.

One additional individual has been charged, while a fourth person has been granted conditional bail pending further inquiries.

Detective constable Isabel Searle, stationed at St Aldate’s police station, said on March 16 that officers have now identified a fifth man, Geraldo Noka, in connection with this assault, and they are appealing for the public’s help to find him.

She also urged anyone who sees Noka not to approach him and to call 999 instead. Anyone who knows where Noka is or may have seen him was asked to call 101, visit a police station, or make a report on their website, quoting reference number 43260000325.
