Larry Ellison must hold off on learning the outcome of his Oxfordshire property plans.

The wealthy businessman, reported to have a fortune of $245bn (£180bn), has been purchasing plots and adjacent properties at Fyfield Wick near Kingston Bagpuize, not far from Abingdon in a progressive manner.

His vision involves establishing a large estate featuring guest accommodation, residences for approximately 20 permanent employees, multiple fitness facilities, a covered basketball area and extensive equestrian buildings.

Jozu UK LLC, an entity connected to the Ellison Foundation, filed the planning proposal in December.

The Vale of White Horse District Council has been reviewing the scheme, which had originally been scheduled for determination by mid-March, though this has now been delayed until 9 April.

No explanation has been provided for the postponement, despite updated documentation being lodged with the council on 17 March that planning officers would need to examine.

The amended paperwork indicates construction will not be completed all at once but will instead proceed through a phased method.

As previously covered in January, Mr Ellison had been antagonising residents in the vicinity, who characterised the activity as underhand and highly irritating given the scope and disturbance involved.

One unnamed local resident informed the Daily Mail that he riles the community with security personnel who now patrol the site’s boundary hourly alongside dogs.

Neither residents nor statutory consultees have submitted formal objections to Mr Ellison’s planning submission.
