Christian Horner and Geri Halliwell are reportedly considering relocating abroad following an extended dispute with local residents over building work at their rural property.

The former Red Bull Formula One team principal and his pop star spouse jointly own a £9.2 million residence close to Banbury, situated on the boundary between Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire.

Their construction of a timber-framed pergola and garden pavilion at their upscale countryside estate prompted complaints from nearby householders.

The famous pair faced accusations of destroying a picturesque vista overlooking an ancient place of worship, and their initial planning proposal was rejected.

However, a revised submission for the pergola received approval this month, eliminating the possibility of enforcement measures, though the outcome regarding the pavilion remains uncertain.

According to a fresh report from GPFans Global, the couple may now relocate to Switzerland should Horner secure a fresh role within Formula One.

The 52-year-old parted ways with Red Bull in 2025 following two decades with the organisation, during which he guided the squad to eight drivers’ championships and six constructors’ accolades.

Audi has set itself the target of becoming world champions by 2030, a timeline that mirrors the period required for Horner and Red Bull to achieve championship success.
