An elderly man in his late 70s is accused of indecent exposure at a Waitrose store.
Thames Valley Police indicated the incident took place in the supermarket car park on Botley Road at around 11am on Thursday, March 19.
Officers reported that the man got out of his blue Volkswagen Golf, moved to the front of the car, and exposed himself.
A police spokesperson said officers are looking for anyone who may have been in the Waitrose car park on Botley Road on March 19. The spokesperson noted that members of the public could help with the inquiry after an exposure incident occurred at approximately 11am. The spokesperson added that a man got out of his blue VW Golf S near the bicycle rack, went to the front of his car and exposed himself, hiding behind the vehicle as people walked past.
Investigators have released a description of the man they want to speak to.
The spokesperson continued that the suspect is described as white, roughly in his late 70s, standing about 5 feet 5 to 6 inches tall, with a slim build and short grey hair. He was wearing a light-coloured shirt, a darker jacket and darker trousers. Anyone with relevant information should call 101, fill out an online form, or go to a police station, quoting reference 43260134872.
Police stressed that all indecent exposure offences are treated seriously and encouraged people to call 999 right away if they witness such an incident.
The spokesperson said authorities apologise for the delay in publishing the appeal but hope the public will help with their investigation.
