A motorist operating a white Range Rover was intercepted by law enforcement on the M40 motorway for having excessively dark window tinting.

The sport utility vehicle was traveling along the Watlington section of the motorway on Wednesday, April 1 when police activated their emergency lights to signal the driver to stop.

Investigation showed the Range Rover’s windows permitted just six percent of light to pass through, whereas the permitted minimum is 70 percent.

Officers directed the driver to exit the motorway at the subsequent junction and remove the window tinting while they watched.

Separately, the operator of a Ford Transit van traveling through the Tiddington region of the M40 was halted for handling a mobile phone while driving.

This individual had already accumulated six penalty points on an unregistered British driving licence due to prior speeding violations and was issued an immediate £500 cash penalty.

With an additional six points now recorded against their licence, they will soon face disqualification from operating vehicles on British roads.

Authorities also stopped a Toyota Yaris in the Bicester area of the M40 for a documentation inspection.

According to police, the driver provided inaccurate information, though her actual identity was rapidly determined.

She was subsequently reported to appear in court for operating a vehicle while her licence had been revoked and for driving without insurance coverage.

She was taken into custody after testing positive for cocaine at the roadside, and the Yaris was confiscated and taken to an impound lot.
