Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash have revealed to their followers that they will be departing from their well-known Essex family home.
The television personalities shared an Instagram video in which they disclosed their plans to relocate, departing from the residence referred to as Pickle Cottage within their family circle and among those who follow their lives closely.
Solomon expressed in the recording that she found it difficult to believe they were actually filming such an announcement.
Swash noted that Solomon had given considerable thought to how she would approach making the video and what she would say to their audience, including contemplating how viewers might react to the information.
The announcement post, shared on Solomon’s official account, marked the official confirmation of their impending departure.
In the video, Solomon stated that they were leaving Pickle Cottage, describing it as something she never imagined she would utter, and that the move would be happening very soon.
She outlined why the couple had maintained secrecy about the move until this point, noting that anyone who has gone through a house move understands the uncertainty involved.
She explained that one cannot be certain a move will actually proceed until it materialises, and additionally, vacating Pickle Cottage represented an enormous decision for them requiring discussions with numerous people.
She mentioned that they needed to prepare their children for the idea, speak with their friends and neighbours in the community, and consult various other individuals before making a public announcement.
She noted that the prospect of selling Pickle Cottage while everyone knew about it would have felt unworkable.
Swash expressed that they view Pickle Cottage as having its own character and essence.
Solomon described the property as their ideal home.
The couple reflected on significant moments experienced at the property, including the arrival of two of their children and their wedding ceremony conducted there.
Solomon mentioned her desire to rescue additional animals and cultivate more produce, describing how much satisfaction she derives from maintaining her existing garden plot.
She indicated that they had considered purchasing a different property with additional land and that their new home would be substantially different in character.
The incoming property requires considerable renovation work, and they intend to refer to it as the Pickle Project while they personalise it with their own improvements.
