A street in Oxford was cordoned off by police in what was described as a significant emergency response.
Photographs captured officers’ vehicles positioned near Glamorous Oxford during the early morning hours of Friday, September 4, with barrier tape encircling the venue, which serves the LGBT community.
The area had been cleared by the early morning period, though individuals working nearby indicated they remained unaware of the circumstances surrounding the incident.
A witness, who chose to remain anonymous, reported at approximately 6am that the thoroughfare had been blocked and that a substantial police operation was in progress.
According to the witness, the section of road in front of the establishment on St Clements Street had been secured with official barrier tape.
Thames Valley Police and representatives of Glamorous Oxford have been asked to provide statements regarding the matter.
