A 28-year-old man from Milton Keynes has been detained by officers following allegations of assault and strangulation in Oxford.
Thames Valley Police stated that the individual was taken into custody following the publication of an appeal a day earlier.
The force indicated that the appeal had been released to the public on Thursday, September 24.
The suspect has been held on suspicion of common assault, intentional strangulation and making threats with an offensive weapon at a private location.
According to police, the incidents occurred in Oxford across several different dates.
By Friday afternoon, officers confirmed that the man continued to be held in detention.
The force announced on Friday morning that its appeal for assistance in locating the individual had concluded, with authorities expressing gratitude to both the public and media outlets for their help in distributing information about the search.
