Oxford’s annual Follow the Stars Carol Concert enters its 30th year at Christ Church Cathedral on Friday, December 11.
The fundraising event supports Macmillan Cancer Support and aims to achieve a cumulative total of £1 million in donations over the course of its history.
The concert programme includes readings and musical performances from several well-known figures.
Actors confirmed to appear include Toby Jones, Mel Giedroyc, Jeremy Irons, Sinéad Cusack, and Max Irons.
Tenor Thomas Elwin will also take to the stage, with additional music provided by the Oxford Bach Soloists.
A Macmillan Cancer Support representative stated that the event offers an opportunity for people to come together during the busy December period and celebrate the holiday season while supporting a significant cause.
The representative noted that behind the music and festive atmosphere lies an important mission to help those affected by cancer.
Contributions from the concert will enable Macmillan to maintain its services providing practical, emotional, and financial assistance to individuals and families impacted by cancer.
