An inpatient mental health unit has been honoured with a trust-wide accolade acknowledging its outstanding dedication to patient welfare and empathy.
The Vaughan Thomas Ward located at Warneford Hospital was presented with the Exceptional People Team Award for July, celebrating its commitment to assisting adults facing serious mental health challenges.
The honour followed a nomination submitted by a former patient, who detailed the significant positive effect the staff had during their time at the facility.
According to the nomination, the patient expressed gratitude for the exceptional support received from every member of the team throughout their admission.
The patient reportedly noted feeling thankful for the high standard of treatment provided by all staff members and indicated they would remember the experience.
