A collection of three vehicles previously featured in Jeremy Clarkson’s television programmes is to go under the hammer at a major automotive event this autumn.
The cars form part of a forthcoming auction with Iconic Auctioneers.
The lots are scheduled to be sold during the event at the NEC Classic Motor Show on November 14, with Clarkson explaining that the reason behind the sale would be revealed in the next season of Clarkson’s Farm.
Clarkson noted in auction listings that opportunities to drive or appreciate these notable vehicles had become increasingly rare, suggesting new ownership would benefit the cars more than their current situation.
The first lot is a 1982 Lancia Montecarlo Spider, which served as Clarkson’s final vehicle during The Grand Tour.
The vehicle bears a Lotus Blue finish and featured in the episode titled One for the Road, which concluded the programme shared with co-presenters Richard Hammond and James May.
Modifications undertaken for production included rear lamp units sourced from a Ferrari 308, quad exhaust tailpipes, Lancia Delta Integrale alloy wheels, and a competition-style steering wheel.
Following completion of filming, Clarkson acquired the Spider and the vehicle currently operates and performs as expected, according to the auctioneers.
The second vehicle listed is a 1983 Alfa Romeo GTV6, which appeared in the Well Aged Scotch episode marking The Grand Tour’s first programme broadcast in 2019.
Clarkson utilised the car while traversing Scotland’s North Coast 500 route.
The odometer displays 28,315 miles and the vehicle has received maintenance through personal facilities.
The third offering is a 1978 Lincoln Continental Mark V, featured in the Lochdown special.
Power comes from a substantial 6.6-litre powerplant.
Nitrous oxide injection was installed specifically for the programme’s production and the system remains fitted to the vehicle.
Additional items include bagpipes stored in the luggage compartment and a Cartier timepiece.
The three cars will appear in The Iconic Sale section of the show.
