A British skincare company has issued a product recall notice for certain batches of its facial cleansing water.
Simple, which focuses on formulations for sensitive skin, is pulling specific lots of its Kind to Skin Micellar Cleansing Water from shelves due to potential bacterial contamination.
The affected items include the 200ml variant with batch numbers 610041, 611641, and 615941.
The larger 400ml size is also included, affecting products bearing codes 611141, 611341, 611441, 613341, 613441, 614541, 614741, and 614841.
Additionally, the 730ml version has been identified with batch codes 613841, 613941, 611041, 616641, and 616741.
Investigations have revealed a possible presence of bacteria in the cleansing water, which may pose a risk of eye inflammation to users.
Shoppers who have purchased any of the impacted products are being asked to stop using them immediately and return the items to their place of purchase.
Guidance and full refunds are available through the company’s consumer careline.
The cleansing water in question is stocked at Boots and Superdrug stores, as well as through online retailers Pharmacy2U and Amazon.
No other products in the Simple range are affected by this recall.
The company, which was established in 1960, has been under the ownership of Unilever since 2010 and specializes in skincare solutions designed for sensitive skin types.
