Oxford home care provider Home Instead among top 3% with outstanding CQC rating

A domiciliary care company has been awarded the highest possible rating by the Care Quality Commission.

Home Instead Oxford, which assists elderly individuals in maintaining independent living within their own residences, has joined the ranks of the top three percent of home care providers nationwide to receive the CQC’s outstanding classification.

Inspectors commended the service for demonstrating compassion, personalisation and authentic connections with those it serves, with support customised to align with each individual’s habits and preferences.

Neil Cox, the regulator’s deputy director for adult social care in Oxfordshire, stated that the organisation should take pride in what it has accomplished, adding that the achievement illustrates what becomes achievable when leadership fosters an environment where empathy, individualisation and sincere relationships form the foundation of routine care provision.

A family member of someone receiving support described the caregivers as consistently attentive to all care requirements and exceptionally thorough.

The CQC noted the comprehensive approach to care at the Oxford branch, which extends beyond everyday tasks to promote clients’ general wellbeing, self-sufficiency and standard of living.

Staff members were acknowledged for facilitating clients’ links to their local areas by promoting participation in community-based activities and social events.

The organisation also received praise for its assistance to an individual following release from hospital, supporting recovery efforts and assisting their journey back to independent living.

Othman Cole, the managing director of Home Instead Oxford, expressed satisfaction at receiving acknowledgement from the regulator for the personalised approach to care delivery, noting that the inspection findings reflected the genuine appreciation expressed by supported families regarding both care staff and office personnel.
