Jeremy Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Farm Shop named UK’s best farm shop

Published on

A farm shop owned by Jeremy Clarkson has been crowned the finest in the United Kingdom.

Diddly Squat Farm Shop is situated in the Cotswolds region, close to Chadlington and just beyond Chipping Norton in West Oxfordshire.

The establishment achieved the leading position in a league table compiled by Welligogs, a publication specialising in countryside lifestyle content.

The ranking was determined through examination of Tripadvisor ratings, Google review scores and Instagram audience data to identify the highest-performing farm shops throughout the country.

Tess Annan, a manager at Welligogs, explained to the Express that farm shops represent a vital component of the British rural visitor experience.

According to Annan, these venues provide guests with the chance to explore a destination beyond conventional tourist sites.

Whether purchasing regionally produced provisions, pausing for a meal or simply touring a working farm, visiting such establishments can offer an effective means of slowing down and appreciating the distinctive qualities of the local landscape.

Annan noted that while Diddly Squat has become one of the nation’s most prominent farm shops, the ranking demonstrated that numerous excellent alternatives exist across the United Kingdom.

The business received ratings of 3.7 stars on Tripadvisor, 4.4 on Google and commands an Instagram audience of 2.8 million followers.

The shop was established by the former Top Gear presenter in 2020 and appears in Clarkson’s Farm, a popular programme broadcast on Amazon Prime Video.

The retail offering includes produce harvested from the 1,000-acre agricultural holding alongside other locally-sourced food and beverages such as meat products, honey, preserves, chutneys, cheeses and Hawkstone beer.

The venue’s considerable reputation has transformed it into a significant tourist destination, with patrons routinely making the journey from throughout the United Kingdom to make purchases.
