Over 50 South East businesses to exhibit at Autumn Fair NEC Birmingham

A retail showcase returning to Birmingham this autumn will welcome more than 50 enterprises from southern England.

The National Exhibition Centre will host the trade exhibition from September 6 through 9, drawing companies from Kent, Surrey, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Hampshire, and Sussex to the four-day gathering.

Thousands of retail professionals are expected to attend the UK’s largest trade show, which features home, gift, fashion, and lifestyle sections.

Matthew Mein, who directs the event, noted that the southern English region supports a diverse range of producers, craftspeople, and small family enterprises whose goods appear on shop shelves nationwide.

He explained that the trade fair creates valuable connections between emerging brands and purchasing professionals seeking to expand their product ranges.

Among the Oxfordshire participants, a Kidlington-based company produces comedic items with a feminist message, including greeting cards, drinkware, journals, and carrying bags that carry a distinctive independent voice.

A Stonesfield enterprise founded by a husband-and-wife team creates nature and poetry-themed merchandise for domestic and garden settings.

The range encompasses bird imagery, ornamental pieces, hanging fixtures, and textile accessories.

Sustainability remains central to the operation, with minimal plastic usage, waste-reduction in manufacturing, and charitable contributions to environmental causes.

Several regional brands will represent the area at the gathering.

A family-operated lifestyle company plans to launch its upcoming seasonal lines spanning women’s and men’s clothing, children’s ranges, and household goods.

A toy manufacturer established in Folkestone in 1985 has grown from a modest beginning into an international concern distributing to more than 100 nations and offering over 2,000 distinct products.

A Surrey enterprise specialising in wooden merchandise will display new seasonal collections featuring popular animated characters alongside classic artistic patterns.

A Sussex-based greeting card publisher founded in the late 1990s produces handcrafted cards incorporating crystals, metallic accents, and responsibly sourced paper materials.

The timing coincides with increased interest from independent retailers seeking merchandise with compelling narratives and distinctive aesthetics.

Research published by trade industry platforms indicates that consumers are progressively gravitating towards independent outlets for their exclusive selections and individual character.

The exhibition will feature more than 1,250 participating businesses displaying in excess of 500,000 items to approximately 20,000 purchasing professionals across the four-day period.
