Police have launched an appeal for witnesses following a reported sexual assault at a retail complex in Oxford.

Officers from Thames Valley Police have published CCTV footage as part of their investigation into the incident at Templars Shopping Centre in Cowley.

Detectives believe the individual captured in the footage could possess significant information relevant to their inquiries.

The alleged assault occurred when a woman aged in her twenties was subjected to inappropriate touching over her clothing at approximately 3pm on Tuesday, 30 June.

No individuals have been apprehended in connection with the matter thus far.

Detective constable Emily Rice stated that officers consider the person shown in the released image may hold details that could advance the investigation.

She indicated that anyone who believes they recognise the individual depicted should contact Thames Valley Police.
