The television presenter has completed a significant property acquisition following the breakdown of his marriage.

The former motoring programme host, who spent more than two decades alongside Jeremy Clarkson on both Top Gear and The Grand Tour, departed from his residence in Herefordshire during January of the previous year.

The divorce from his wife was announced through social media, with confirmation that the partnership of 28 years was ending.

The couple share two daughters.

Following his departure from the family home, it is understood he had been renting accommodation in the vicinity.

Reports indicate he has now purchased a substantial six-bedroom property in Wales.

The Georgian manor was acquired for £2m in a cash transaction and includes numerous features such as a tennis court, wine cellar, conservatory, lake, and additional buildings suitable for housing collections of vehicles.

Local residents have observed him shopping locally, with one resident noting that having a celebrity in the area had been well received.

Approximately nine months after publicly announcing the separation, he discussed the matter further in an interview.

Regarding the possibility of finding another partner, he explained that he currently lacked time for such considerations, as he was approaching the conclusion of a current series.

The presenter concluded the year by appearing alongside his daughter Izzy on a DriveTribe video published on YouTube.

During the segment, filmed while driving his Ford Raptor, he reflected on the preceding twelve months as having been eventful with both positive and challenging moments, expressing a desire not to repeat the year.

His daughter concurred, stating her preference for a more peaceful year ahead.
