McVitie’s reveals Jaffa Elf for 2026 Christmas range at £1

Published on

McVitie’s has announced the launch of a new festive-themed product that will join its 2026 Christmas lineup.

The Jaffa Elf represents an unconventional take on the classic Jaffa Cake, combining the traditional pairing of dark chocolate and orange jelly in a distinctive elf silhouette.

The seasonal treat is scheduled to arrive in shops from September, priced at one pound.

Consumer responses to the announcement have proven polarising.

One online commentator described the product as unsettling, questioning why the snack’s facial features appeared so peculiar.

In contrast, another supporter expressed enthusiasm, welcoming additional Jaffa Cake-inspired items.

The Jaffa Elf will be stocked across the country’s principal retail outlets.

Alongside this new introduction, McVitie’s seasonal portfolio features established favourites making their annual return.

The Jaffa Tree continues its tradition, offered in a decorative container shaped like a Christmas tree and retailing for three pounds.

This package contains three Jaffa Cake Snack Packs alongside three Jonuts.

The Jaffa Tree will be stocked by Tesco, Asda, Morrisons, Co-Op, Ocado, TJ Morris, Poundland, Spar, and Nisa from September.

The Jaffa Pole, housing 40 Jaffa Cakes, also returns to shelves this year.

This product will be available from Tesco, Asda, Waitrose, Co-Op, Iceland, Home Bargains, and Poundland, priced at four pounds.

Additionally, a Spiced Orange variety has been introduced as part of the expanded range.

The original Jaffa Cake was developed by the British biscuit manufacturer in 1927.

The confection takes its name from Jaffa oranges sourced from the Middle East, which inspired the distinctive jelly centre.

Representatives for McVitie’s have been contacted regarding further details about the product range.
