Repairs have been carried out on minor surface depressions that appeared along Laurel Drive in Southmoor, near Abingdon.
The indentations in the pavement prompted local elected representative Lee Evans to raise the matter with Oxfordshire County Council, requesting action to address the issue.
Councillor Evans, who represents the Kingston and Stanford division for the Conservative party, subsequently examined the completed restoration work and confirmed the measures were effective.
According to Councillor Evans, residents had brought the small cavities to his attention.
He approached the council to determine the cause and request restoration of the footpath to a safe condition.
Following the work, Councillor Evans conducted an inspection and confirmed the repairs had resolved the immediate concern.
He stated the surface was capable of supporting weight and indicated he would continue monitoring the affected sections of pavement.
The surface depression represented the second occurrence along Laurel Drive during the summer period.
