An infant identified as Raven Odin Davis, who was just over one month old, passed away at Horton Hospital in Banbury on May 24.
The child had been discovered unresponsive at a residential property in Oxford before being taken to the medical facility, where he was pronounced dead.
Senior Coroner Darren Salter commenced formal inquest proceedings into the circumstances of the infant’s death at Oxfordshire Coroner’s Court on August 26.
Court documentation confirmed that the baby was discovered unresponsive at the family home in Oxford and subsequently died at the hospital on the same day.
The official cause of death has been recorded as sudden unexpected death in infancy, occurring alongside co-sleeping conditions and a group B streptococcus infection.
The case has been postponed to allow for a comprehensive inquest, which is scheduled to be held at Oxfordshire Coroner’s Court on November 26 at 2pm.
