Thames Valley Police has provided an update regarding a stabbing incident in an Oxfordshire village.

The force confirmed that no further charges would be brought following the arrest of multiple individuals in connection with the incident in Radley.

The events occurred during the evening of June 15, beginning at approximately 9.20pm in the Barberi Close and St Nicholas Road area of Littlemore.

A man in that location was approached and threatened by a group of males who had arrived in a blue vehicle.

That victim managed to leave the area without sustaining injuries.

Approximately ten minutes later, a second incident took place in Beckett Drive, Radley.

A group believed to be connected to the earlier event, also travelling in a blue vehicle, carried out an assault on another man, causing serious injuries.

The victim received hospital treatment and has since been discharged.

A total of eight individuals were taken into custody in connection with the investigation.

Following inquiries, one person was released without any further action being taken.

The remaining seven individuals were not charged.

Nineteen-year-old Thomas Quinn, from Deacon Way in Banbury, faced charges of grievous bodily harm and possession of a bladed article.

He made his first court appearance at Oxford Crown Court on July 17.

The force subsequently stated that no additional charges would be filed at that time.

Court proceedings are ongoing, with a case management hearing scheduled for September 11 and a pre-trial review set for November 13.

The trial is listed to begin on December 7.
