A Basque-inspired cheesecake brand is set to establish itself in Oxfordshire with a debut location at Bicester Village.
La Maritxu, which originated in the capital, will unveil its inaugural establishment beyond London on October 1, introducing its characteristic caramelised cheesecakes to one of Britain’s busiest retail destinations.
The venue will present an assortment of Basque-style cheesecakes available in various formats, encompassing single portions, miniature versions, and complete cakes.
Patrons will find the signature classic cheesecake on offer, complemented by limited-edition seasonal varieties such as tiramisu and a chocolate and orange variant developed specifically for the Bicester Village location.
According to a representative for La Maritxu, the launch represents a significant milestone for the expanding company, delivering its cheesecake offerings to a premier British shopping destination where visitors can consume them immediately or transport them elsewhere.
The enterprise was established in 2021 by co-founder Ignacio alongside his spouse Lucia.
Their confections undergo preparation at elevated temperatures to produce a caramelised crust while maintaining a velvety, smooth interior.
The brand currently maintains four premises throughout London and manufactures in excess of 300 cheesecakes each day at its central production facility located in Bethnal Green.
Every cake incorporates high-quality components and adheres to authentic Basque techniques.
The Bicester Village establishment will additionally provide an assortment of teas, coffees, and specialty beverages.
La Maritxu becomes part of Bicester Village’s collection of globally recognised retailers, presenting visitors with an additional sweet option during their shopping excursions.
Trading hours at the new café will run from 9am until 9pm every day.
