A fatality was reported at Didcot Parkway Railway Station in Oxfordshire on Sunday, September 20, after emergency services responded to an incident at the location.

British Transport Police confirmed that the incident occurred at approximately 2.36pm.

Paramedics also attended the scene, where a man was declared deceased.

Authorities stated that the death is not being considered suspicious, and documentation will be forwarded to the coroner’s office.

The occurrence resulted in significant service alterations across the regional rail network.

All services departing from London Paddington were suspended temporarily.

The affected route connects Reading through Didcot Parkway to Oxford.

Didcot Parkway Station was cleared of passengers during the emergency response.

Great Western Railway confirmed that the incident affected its Reading to Swindon corridor, which passes through Didcot Parkway.

The operator reported that the line was blocked while emergency services addressed the situation.

Services were subject to cancellation and delay, with disruption anticipated to continue until 4.30pm.

Great Western Railway indicated that train operations to and from the affected stations were impacted by the emergency.
