Oxfordshire technology company Transense Technologies has secured a significant development and supply agreement with global tyre manufacturer Continental for an advanced digital tyre management solution.
Under the arrangement, Transense’s Translogik division will develop a bespoke variant of its TLGX handheld device specifically for Continental’s requirements.
The customised tool will incorporate enhanced capabilities designed to meet Continental’s operational specifications, with deployment planned across the manufacturer’s international service network.
The agreement builds upon a prior collaboration between the organisations and arrives amid mounting regulatory and commercial demands facing the commercial vehicle sector.
Industry developments driving interest in digital tyre management include expanded implementation of Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems, electronic tyre inspection processes, and forthcoming European Digital Product Passport regulations.
Upon conclusion of the six-month funded development phase, the programme is projected to deliver annual revenues exceeding £700,000 for Transense Technologies.
