A Witney-based hearing care business is commemorating nine decades of service to the local community.
Arnold Hearing Specialists marks its 90th anniversary this year, having originally opened its doors in 1936.
To mark the significant milestone, a public celebration will take place at the Witney Corn Exchange on Wednesday, September 30.
Ian Arnold, proprietor of Arnold Hearing Specialists, expressed the importance of the occasion, noting that reaching a nine-decade milestone represents an extraordinary achievement for an independent healthcare practice.
The owner stated that the business takes great pride in celebrating alongside the community that has trusted the practice over many years.
According to Arnold, the anniversary provides an opportunity to reflect upon the organisation’s lengthy tradition of providing independent hearing care while simultaneously looking ahead to continuing that personal approach for future generations.
The festivities will run from 11am until 3pm and admission is open to all members of the public, with attendees able to arrive and depart at their convenience throughout the afternoon.
Olympic ski jumper Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards is confirmed to appear as a special guest, with a scheduled speaking engagement at 1pm.
The Mayor of the area, Councillor Jane Doughty, will also be present at the event.
The charity Hearing Dogs for the Deaf will contribute to the celebrations, bringing along one of its trained assistance dogs named Caspar.
Visitors to the anniversary event can expect live musical entertainment and complimentary refreshments throughout the afternoon.
