Thames Valley Police have announced a community open day scheduled for this Saturday at their training facility located in Sulhamstead.
The complimentary event is set to run from 10am until 4pm, with final admission at 3.30pm on September 19.
Among the activities available throughout the day will be demonstrations, presentations and information stalls, allowing visitors to gain insight into the daily operations of the force.
A costume contest, open to participants of all ages, forms part of the programme and will be evaluated by Chief Constable Jason Hogg in the principal arena between noon and 12.15pm.
According to communications issued by the force, the event will include displays featuring police dogs and horses, along with exhibitions related to serious and major crime investigations.
The Thames Valley Police Museum will also be accessible to attendees.
Those interested in employment opportunities within the force can obtain details about careers and recruitment processes.
Younger visitors and families can engage with interactive exhibits and various family-oriented activities arranged throughout the venue.
The open day provides members of the public from Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Milton Keynes with the chance to observe modern policing practices within one of the largest police services operating in the United Kingdom.
Entry to the event carries no charge.
