A bird specialist who featured on the most recent season of Clarkson’s Farm has disclosed her age, much to the surprise of her audience.
Hannah Bourne-Taylor, who earned recognition during her appearance on the programme for her expertise in avian species identification, reached the age of 40 on September 12.
Her followers were taken aback when she chose an unconventional method to announce her milestone birthday.
Rather than announcing her age plainly, she drew comparisons between herself and various bird species, pointing out that blackbirds and robins typically survive for approximately five years, while corvids can reach ages of up to 20 years.
She highlighted her preferred avian species, the swift, whose longest recorded individual lived to 22 years.
Bourne-Taylor concluded her comparison by referencing the albatross, a bird with a typical lifespan ranging from 30 to 60 years, noting the species was considerably older than her.
The comparison prompted astonishment among observers who subsequently understood she was turning 40.
In the day preceding her birthday, she posted an update indicating she remained in her thirties for several additional hours.
On the day itself, she uploaded footage showing herself enthusiastically pressing her face into her birthday celebration dessert.
Dressed in a scarlet dress, she positioned herself on a kitchen worktop, buried her face into the cake, and erupted in laughter.
She subsequently consumed portions of the confection while still wearing frosting.
