A London-based bakery recognised for its award-winning desserts has confirmed plans to launch its debut location outside the capital in Bicester Village.
La Maritxu, established in the capital in 2021 by married couple Ignacio and Lucia, has built a devoted customer base through its Basque-style cheesecakes, which feature smooth, creamy interiors and caramelised exteriors inspired by the city of Bilbao.
The establishment currently operates four cafes throughout London and produces in excess of 300 cheesecakes each day at its production kitchen situated in Bethnal Green.
The company has announced that its inaugural branch beyond London will open its doors on Thursday, October 1, marking what management described as a significant milestone in the brand’s development since its foundation.
The outlet will operate from 9am through to 9pm daily.
The cornerstone of the menu will be the establishment’s signature cheesecake, prepared using high-temperature baking methods that create its characteristic appearance and flavour profile.
For the Bicester Village launch, the dessert will be available in multiple formats, ranging from individual slices priced at £7 to full cakes costing £45.
The launch selection will feature seasonalautumn-inspired varieties, including tiramisu and a chocolate and orange cheesecake.
These offerings will be accompanied by a beverage programme featuring freshly brewed coffee and tea, along with limited-edition seasonal drinks such as a Hot Chocolate and Orange Cream.
