A joint law enforcement operation targeting road traffic violations has concluded with multiple arrests and vehicle seizures in Oxfordshire.
Officers from Thames Valley Police’s local units covering Wantage, Grove, Oxford, Didcot, and Faringdon conducted the coordinated enforcement action on September 11.
The initiative resulted in four individuals being taken into custody and three motor vehicles being confiscated.
During the operation, a vehicle was stopped and found to be uninsured.
Both occupants were detained, and the car was taken into police possession.
A search of the vehicle uncovered controlled substances.
The driver faced suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and possession with intent to supply, while the passenger was held on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.
Toxicology results were pending to determine additional charges.
Authorities noted that the presence of powdered residue would likely undermine any denial of drug involvement.
A third individual was detained on suspicion of supplying a class B controlled drug, and their vehicle was also seized.
Another vehicle was confiscated for lacking insurance coverage.
While monitoring the roads, officers identified a person who was subject to an active warrant.
The individual was discovered in possession of illegal substances and arrested.
A second person was processed for possession offences.
A representative from the Wantage and Grove neighbourhood policing unit expressed gratitude to colleagues from Oxford, Didcot, and Faringdon for their participation in the operation, describing it as an effective demonstration of collaborative neighbourhood policing efforts, information sharing, and strategic resource allocation.
