A Post Office branch in Oxfordshire has resumed operations after local residents mounted a campaign to secure its future.
The facility on London Road had ceased trading on December 31 last year after the building housing it was scheduled for demolition to accommodate research and office developments.
The outlet had previously occupied premises within a Co-Operative store.
The relocated branch now operates from premises at 12 Windmill Road.
Trading hours have been established between 9am and 5.30pm on weekdays and Saturdays.
Customers will continue to have access to a comparable selection of products and services.
According to Post Office spokesperson Sheila Tapster, the new location sits approximately 280 metres from the former site.
Parking facilities are available at the St Leonards Road Car Park, where pay-and-display arrangements operate, situated around 120 metres from the new premises.
The updated facility features accessibility improvements including a widened doorway and ramp at the entrance, while interior modifications incorporate a hearing loop system and allocated space for wheelchair users.
Tapster indicated that the relocation represents a commercial determination made by the Post Office, and that feedback regarding this aspect of the move would not be sought.
However, the organisation expressed openness to receiving observations concerning accessibility to and within the new premises.
