A vehicle on the M40 motorway in Oxfordshire has been impounded by officers following a detected speeding violation.
The white Mercedes was stopped on the road between Oxford and Bicester on the morning of Monday, 7 September.
Officers from Thames Valley Police recorded the car travelling at 92mph in a 70mph zone, representing a 22mph excess over the legal limit.
During the stop, it was also established that the motorist possessed no valid insurance cover.
The car was subsequently taken into custody and the operator faces prosecution proceedings.
Authorities confirmed via their official online platforms that the registration mark XRC60 was captured travelling at speed through the affected stretch between Junctions 8a and 9.
