An elderly man from Faringdon has been brought before the courts facing multiple sexual misconduct charges involving a child.
Michael Heys, aged 68 and residing at Proctor Way in Faringdon, attended Oxford Crown Court on September 7 where nine charges were read out.
The prosecution alleges he produced indecent photographs of children across three classifications.
The charges specify three category A images, three category B images and three category C images.
Additional allegations against Heys include persuading a child to take part in sexual activity, two counts of assault by penetration, a single count of sexual assault by touching, and two counts of participating in sexual conduct while a minor was present.
Court documentation indicates the alleged criminal behaviour occurred during the latter months of the previous year, spanning from August through December.
No pleas were recorded during the initial court appearance.
A provisional trial has been arranged for January 25 next year, with legal representatives estimating proceedings could require between four and five days to conclude.
A further hearing focused on case preparation and plea entry has been scheduled for October 2.
