A robbery took place at a Banbury jewellery store during the night, with thieves making off with watches after arriving on electric bicycles.
Thames Valley Police responded to reports of a triggered alarm at the High Street premises in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Officers were dispatched at 1.54am following notification from the security system at Michael Jones Jewellers.
Two individuals dressed in dark clothing and wearing gloves gained entry to the shop and removed the watches before departing the scene on blue and red electric bikes.
No suspects have been apprehended in connection with the incident, police confirmed.
The establishment operates as an independent jewellery retailer with additional premises in Northampton.
Its product range encompasses luxury timepieces, engagement rings and general jewellery items, while also providing repair and valuation services.
The Banbury branch did not open for business following the overnight break-in.
When approached for statement, a representative indicated the business had no comment at this stage.
Investigating officers are requesting anyone who may possess relevant footage from dash cameras or external CCTV systems in the vicinity to come forward.
