An investigation has been opened following reports of a break-in at a property in the Cotswolds area where a resident was allegedly menaced.
Officers are appealing for members of the public to come forward with information after the incident took place in West Street, Kingham, at approximately 10pm on the evening of Wednesday, September 2.
According to authorities, an individual forced entry into a garage belonging to a property and attempted to remove belongings from within.
A representative stated that the homeowner disturbed the perpetrator before he fled the location.
During the confrontation, the occupant was reportedly subjected to threats.
The suspect is described as a white man, standing around 6ft 2ins in height, with a medium-sized frame.
At the time of the incident, he was said to be dressed in a black hoodie, grey slim-cut jogging trousers and dark-coloured training shoes.
PC Bruce Claridge, who serves at the Chipping Norton station, is requesting that anyone with knowledge of the event makes contact.
This includes individuals who may have observed the break-in occur, those who spotted a person matching the description in the vicinity, or anyone possessing relevant CCTV recordings, doorbell camera footage or dashcam material from the surrounding period.
The officer indicated that those with details should get in touch with Thames Valley Police by telephoning 101 and providing the reference number 43260458112, or alternatively submitting information through the force website.
