A supermarket employee has celebrated four decades of continuous service at a single Oxfordshire branch.

Steve, who is 56 years old, joined the Tesco Extra location on Marcham Road at the age of 18 and has continued working there ever since.

Despite facing learning challenges, Steve relies on daily bus commutes from Wantage Market Place to maintain his employment, showing remarkable commitment regardless of weather conditions.

Throughout his tenure, his consistent work ethic has made him a dependable presence, particularly in his customer-facing role at the store entrance where he greets visitors and creates a welcoming atmosphere.
