Oxford Magistrates’ Court heard the following cases during the latest session.

A 30-year-old man from Market Place in Faringdon admitted to operating a vehicle while over the legal alcohol limit on the A420 near Swindon.

Breath analysis revealed 76 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath on May 31.

The defendant received a financial penalty comprising a fine of £507 plus costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £203.

A driving prohibition of three years was also imposed.

A 62-year-old resident of Burwell Meadow in Witney entered a guilty plea to exceeding the speed limit within a restricted 20mph area while travelling along the A4 in the capital.

The offense occurred on January 30 in a Tesla Model Y.

The court ordered payment of £160 in fines together with £130 costs and a £64 victim surcharge.

Three penalty points were endorsed on the defendant’s driving record.

A 32-year-old man from Mead Walk in Didcot faced four charges of drug driving alongside single charges of driving without a valid licence and operating a vehicle without third party insurance cover.

The incidents took place at Park Avenue in Aztec West, Almondsbury on January 1.

A custodial sentence of 18 weeks was imposed alongside a five-year driving ban.

The defendant was also required to settle £85 in costs and a £154 victim surcharge.

A 42-year-old defendant from Hunt Close in Bicester was found guilty of travelling above the posted 70mph limit on the M55 in Lancashire.

The offense occurred on August 13 the previous year while the individual was operating a Mercedes vehicle.

Financial penalties included a £60 fine, £130 costs and a £24 victim surcharge.

Three penalty points were applied to the defendant’s driving licence.

A 27-year-old from Weldon Road in Oxford was convicted of operating an Audi A4 without the required third party insurance on the A13 Newham Way in London.

The offense date was October 9 the previous year.

The court imposed a fine of £660 plus £650 costs.

Six penalty points were added to the defendant’s record.

A 63-year-old man residing in Holford Road, Witney confessed to drug driving in a Volkswagen Passat along the M5 in Gloucestershire.

The incident occurred on December 18 the previous year.

Financial penalties totalled £120 in fines, £85 costs and a £48 victim surcharge.

A twelve-month driving ban was also issued.

A 60-year-old defendant from Frouds Close in Childrey, Wantage admitted to a single count of assault by beating in Milford on Sea, Hampshire.

The offense was recorded on December 23 2024.

A two-year conditional discharge was handed down alongside a requirement to pay £400 in costs and £750 compensation to the victim.

An 18-year-old from Sandy Lane in Oxford pleaded guilty to possessing a bladed article, specifically a knife, at Thorpe Park in Surrey.

The offense occurred on September 6 the previous year.

A prison term of three months was awarded but suspended for a period of twelve months.

The defendant was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £154 victim surcharge.

A 61-year-old resident of Oakley Court in Benson, Wallingford acknowledged a speeding offense within a 20mph zone on Victoria Embankment in London.

The incident took place on January 16 this year while driving a Ford Transit van.

The court mandated payment of £160 in fines, £60 costs and a £64 victim surcharge.

Three penalty points were endorsed.

A 48-year-old defendant from John Jones Close in Abingdon admitted to disregarding red and green arrow signals and lane closure indicators while operating a Peugeot 5008 on the M1 at Rotherham.

The offense occurred on July 27 the previous year.

Financial penalties comprised a £100 fine, £130 costs and a £40 victim surcharge.
