An investigation has been underway following an assault on a woman in her thirties in Oxford.

Thames Valley Police confirmed the offence occurred in Kendall Crescent, Cutteslowe, on the evening of Thursday, August 27, within a timeframe spanning from 10pm to 11.30pm.

According to officers, the victim was threatened and attacked by an acquaintance first inside her blue Vauxhall Astra vehicle and subsequently outdoors.

The woman suffered minor injuries but did not necessitate medical attention at a hospital.

Detective constable Michael Lewis, the officer leading the inquiry, has urged residents and passersby who were present in the Kendall Crescent vicinity during the specified period to contact police.

He noted that members of the public may have observed segments of the attack and emphasised the importance of any potential witnesses coming forward.

Officers have expressed particular interest in any recordings from CCTV systems, doorbell cameras, dashboard cameras, or mobile phones that may have captured activity in the area during the incident timeframe.

Police stated that even seemingly insignificant details could prove valuable to their enquiries.
