The low-cost airline Jet2 has unveiled a collection of fresh routes to the Bulgarian coastal destination of Burgas, presenting holidaymakers with expanded opportunities for future travel plans.

The carrier’s enhanced flight network, now encompassing departures from 11 British airports, incorporates services from Birmingham, East Midlands, Glasgow, and Manchester, aiming to deliver increased variety and adaptability for passengers.

The timing of this announcement coincides with projections that thousands of Eurovision enthusiasts will make the journey to Burgas to attend the 2027 song contest, which is scheduled to take place at the Arena Burgas venue.

David Hills, the airline’s chief customer officer, explained that Eurovision ranks among the most anticipated fixtures in the entertainment schedule, and the introduction of supplementary departures from these four major airports would provide British supporters with enhanced possibilities to reach Burgas for the forthcoming competition.

With flights originating from 11 UK airports, six routes available exclusively through this carrier, and an assortment of departure dates spanning Eurovision week, both individual travellers and independent travel agencies benefit from unprecedented choice and flexibility when arranging their journeys, regardless of whether attendance is planned for the Semi-Finals, the Grand Final, or an extended break.

Tickets for these flights have already been released for purchase, with the airline advising enthusiasts to secure reservations promptly to guarantee their position at the Eurovision Song Contest 2027.

The supplementary services have been scheduled to align with Eurovision week, encompassing the semi-finals scheduled for May 11 and 13, alongside the grand final on May 15.

The operator’s broader timetable enables supporters to visit Burgas for either a portion or the entirety of the Eurovision festivities, or alternatively to simply discover a vacation on Bulgaria’s Black Sea shoreline.

The Burgas route will additionally operate from Edinburgh, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool, and London Stansted airports, all of which constitute exclusive services offered solely by this carrier, alongside departures from Bristol, Newcastle, and London Gatwick.

Burgas, a seaside municipality celebrated for its sandy stretches and easygoing environment, is anticipated to receive thousands of overseas guests for the inaugural Eurovision Song Contest staged in Bulgaria.

Beyond the principal arena performances, the municipality will accommodate a Eurovision Village and EuroClub venue, featuring a complete calendar of communal events throughout the week.

The airline is urging enthusiasts to make reservations ahead of schedule to guarantee their places, considering the substantial interest anticipated during Eurovision week.
