A continent-wide fundraising riding event aimed at improving horse welfare is set to take place this September.
The Agria Ride programme returns for its autumn edition, collecting money for three equestrian charities through a pan-European riding initiative.
A contribution will be made to the supported organisations for every equine that joins the event.
Agria UK will channel funds to the Riding for the Disabled Association, World Horse Welfare, and Retraining of Racehorses as part of the scheme.
The initiative offers participants either a physical gathering at the Cotswold Farm Park across the weekend of September 5 and 6, or a virtual option allowing individuals to record a ride wherever they prefer throughout September via the Ridely application.
The designated Cotswold course spans roughly 10 miles and incorporates woodland paths, stream crossings, and fences that participants may attempt if they choose.
Farriery considerations form part of the event’s guidance, with organisers noting that firm terrain can increase stress on hooves and legs, particularly when feet are unbalanced or overdue for shoeing.
Registration fees stand at £26 for those aged 18 and over, with younger participants between four and 17 years old charged £21.
Customers of Agria qualify for reduced rates.
Every participant enrolled automatically triggers a donation to the three beneficiary charities.
