Cala closes Benson play park for four weeks of remedial works

The play area at Gerards Avenue in the Hopefield Grange estate in Benson will be inaccessible to the public for approximately one month while improvement work takes place.

Cala, the construction company responsible for the development, has instructed that essential repairs must be carried out to the facility.

Benson Parish Council received notification from the housebuilder regarding the necessary maintenance.

An inspection uncovered issues requiring attention, including sections of the protective surface that have become displaced and patches of lawn that need to be reseeded.

The work aims to guarantee continued safe usage of the equipment for all visitors.

The Hopefield Grange residential project, situated off Littleworth Road in Benson, was constructed by Cala Homes and comprises 187 dwellings, with construction commencing in 2016.

Planning approval was subsequently awarded in 2018 for an additional 240 properties to be added to the scheme.
