A leading scientific instrumentation firm is becoming part of a collaborative research facility being established at Harwell Campus.
The Harwell Science and Innovation Campus, located outside Didcot, has revealed that Agilent Technologies has signed on as an initial supporter of its CO:LABS initiative, a 120,000 square foot complex scheduled for completion towards the end of 2026.
The move represents a considerable lift for fledgling ventures that will occupy premises at the Harwell location.
Gub Singh, UK country general manager at Agilent Technologies, stated that Harwell Campus has historically served as a vital centre for scientific exploration and advancement. He noted that CO:LABS establishes a compelling space for teamwork throughout the Harwell network, and expressed anticipation at collaborating with campus businesses to drive forward fresh concepts and scientific advances.
The collaboration will involve Agilent setting up a showcase laboratory inside CO:LABS, offering emerging businesses practical engagement with sophisticated spectroscopy and life sciences tools. Such technology is normally inaccessible for developing enterprises.
Agilent becomes The Rosalind Franklin Institute’s fellow founding participant in the scheme.
