A beverage producer based in the Cotswolds has revealed plans to open a new cocktail bar, with the launch date now officially confirmed by the company.
The Cotswolds Distillery site in Stourton will welcome The Hidden Still, a brand-new on-site bar, along with the launch of a new product called Cotswolds Wild Spritz.
The company established itself as the area’s first complete production facility after beginning operations in an abandoned barn in the North Cotswolds back in 2014.
The Hidden Still will offer an exclusive range of cocktails served with light meals
Expansion has turned the site into a complex now featuring storage space, a café, a shop and an outdoor terrace, with The Hidden Still representing the latest addition.
The new venue, The Hidden Still, opens at the Cotswolds Distillery this month
Visitors can attend from Saturday, May 23, with doors open each Friday and Saturday evening between 5pm and 9pm until September concludes.
Presented as a seasonal venue for the summer months, the space will stage events and tasting sessions overseen by head of mixology Ollie Morris, who has worked at Cotswolds Distillery for more than ten years.
The Hidden Still opens May 23 with weekend evening opening hours
Just before the bar’s debut, the company will release Cotswolds Wild Spritz—a new bittersweet British aperitivo characterised by bright citrus flavours, delicate floral hints and complex botanical blends.
Cotswolds Distillery will launch the new aperitivo shortly before the bar opens
The distillery suggests enjoying this dry, elegant aperitivo with chilled prosecco and a splash of soda, or served over ice with tonic or soda water, garnished with citrus peel.
Alongside the latest spirit, patrons at the new venue can select from a curated menu of cocktails and light fare, featuring beloved house classics such as Cotswolds Distillery Dry Gin and Signature Whiskey expressions, spritz-style and longer drinks, a rotating daily slushie plus lower-alcohol or non-alcoholic selections.
