A popular local food and drink celebration is set to take place later this month, bringing together a full schedule of activities, delicious offerings, and family-friendly entertainment.
The annual event happens on Saturday, May 16, between 10am and 4.30pm, and is run by the Parish of Witney. Proceeds from the gathering help fund the preservation of St Mary’s Church, where the festivities are held each year.
Close to 70 vendor stalls will be set up both inside the historic church building and on Church Green nearby, featuring an extensive selection of culinary and beverage products from regional makers.
A dedicated festival bar will pour craft beers supplied by Little Ox and Tap Social, plus cider from Old Stag.
A newcomer to this year’s event is a cocktail bar operated by Wood Brothers Distilling, situated in the churchyard area behind St Mary’s.
The popular UE Coffee pop-up café will be back, serving its award-winning specialty coffee, which is roasted locally in Witney.
Admission costs £3 for each adult, with revenue directed toward the upkeep and restoration of St Mary’s Church.
Youngsters under 12 years old get in free when with a paying adult.
Visitors with dogs can bring them to Church Green and the churchyard, though pets are not allowed inside the church building while the event is ongoing.
