Regular coffee mornings bring together people from a Banbury residential care setting and those living in the surrounding area.

Glebefields Care Home, situated in Drayton, welcomed residents, employees, and neighbourhood residents to an informal get-together with conversation, homemade treats, and warm drinks as part of ongoing efforts to engage with the local community.

The occasion demonstrated the home’s commitment to creating a welcoming hub and strengthening bonds with the local neighbourhood.

Zoe Terry, activities coordinator at Glebefields, said everyone coming together and maintaining existing friendships in such a warm environment was a lovely sight.

The event took place in the care home’s dining room and included entertainment alongside lively conversations.

Attendees and residents spent time hearing about local news and sharing personal stories while enjoying biscuits and pastries prepared by the kitchen team.

Benazir Shakkir, general manager at Glebefields Care Home, said the team was grateful to all who came along and helped make the morning so special. These gatherings offer residents important chances to stay connected to the village where they live.

As well as inviting guests to the home, Glebefields residents also attend regular coffee mornings hosted at Drayton community hall.
