Emergency responders arrived at an Oxfordarea green space over the weekend following reports of a potential major incident.

An unnamed source indicated it concerned a critical situation involving what was believed to be a stabbing attack.

Thames Valley Police stated this information proved to be without basis, noting that no offence was recorded.

South Central Ambulance Service responded and provided care to an individual at the location in Port Meadow at approximately 8pm on Sunday, April 26.
