A burglar has been imprisoned following a spree of offences motivated by drugs and alcohol, which resulted in thousands of pounds in losses for a digital repair business.

Johnathon Dobson, residing at Tudor Close in Wallingford, received his sentence at Oxford Crown Court on Wednesday, April 22.

The 44-year-old offender was convicted of two non-dwelling burglaries, vehicle break-ins and the theft of electric bicycles in Wallingford, all of which occurred on October 15 last year.

Also on that date, he operated a van while lacking insurance, holding no valid licence and being under the influence of alcohol.

The court was told that one of the burglaries took place in October at a digital repair business called Help I’ve Broken It Store, located on St Martin’s Street.

Dobson shattered a window and took multiple high-value items including mobile phones and satellite navigation devices.

The business on St Martin’s Street in Wallingford sustained significant damage during the burglary.

The court was informed that the store lost approximately four days of trading operations and that stolen items were valued at £3,000.

Dobson subsequently travelled to Wyatt Way where he took two electric bicycles valued at £4,030.

In the same street, he also gained entry to several vehicles and stole property including a jacket, wallet and brown bag.

He then accessed a nearby garage and escaped with spirits, Champagne, beer and power tools worth £1,200.

The Judge sentenced Dobson to two years in prison.

Additionally, he received an 18-month driving ban for the motoring offences.
