An individual failed to pay for petrol on nine instances.
Matthew Sammons, aged 32 and residing at Islip Road in Bletchingdon, entered guilty pleas to these incidents, which occurred in Cowley, Bicester, and Frilford between July 2024 and January of this year.
The cumulative amount taken in fuel was £726.99.
Sammons additionally confessed to two shoplifting offences in Oxford on September 26 and November 21, taking merchandise valued at £413.85 from John Lewis.
At Oxford Magistrates’ Court, he received a community order mandating 80 hours of unpaid work to be completed within 12 months.
He must also adhere to up to 15 days of rehabilitation activities and attend meetings as instructed by a supervising officer.
He was directed to pay £953.37 in compensation.
The fuel-related offences involved individual amounts ranging from £60.29 to £92.75.
Other merchandise taken included Beats earphones and clothing.
