Cotswolds forestry support company enters liquidation after nearly nine years

Published on

A business based in the Cotswolds that delivered support services to the forestry sector has entered liquidation following almost nine years of commercial activity.

The Cotswold Group Limited is listed at a registered address in Witney, located in the western area of Oxfordshire, with Companies House records showing incorporation on 3 May 2017.

The company’s business classification is recorded under support activities related to forestry and associated work.

Recent insolvency announcements confirm that the business has commenced a creditors’ voluntary liquidation.

A creditors’ voluntary liquidation represents a structured insolvency procedure launched by directors when an organisation is unable, or is reasonably expected to be unable, to settle its debts in full.

During this procedure, shareholders approve a special resolution to wind up the company, and The Cotswold Group Limited’s wind-up resolution was adopted on 2 March 2026.

On that same day, KRE Corporate Recovery Limited, a licensed insolvency practice, were designated as liquidators to assume management of the company’s affairs.

Once appointed, liquidators assume responsibility for gathering in and converting the company’s assets to cash.

They additionally examine the company’s financial situation and manage creditor claims in accordance with insolvency legislation.

Any proceeds generated from asset disposals are allocated to creditors according to the legally mandated priority sequence.

The company will discontinue operations, and any remaining staff would ordinarily be made redundant as part of the procedure.

Once the liquidation process concludes, The Cotswold Group Limited is anticipated to be struck off and eliminated from the Companies House register.

Official announcements concerning the liquidation have been recorded in the public domain.

This publication has contacted KRE Corporate Recovery Limited for a response.
