Leadership at an independent school in Oxford has expressed great pleasure at securing a place among the world’s elite educational institutions in the 2026 Spear’s Schools Index.
The Spear’s annual ranking, widely regarded as the authoritative compilation of the top 100 fee-paying educational institutions globally, is highly sought after.
This year, Summer Fields Oxford, a fee-paying boarding and day establishment for boys in Summertown, achieved a position in the top 100 private schools worldwide.
The institution was also one of just 23 preparatory schools to feature on the list.
A representative for Summer Fields Oxford stated that the school is thrilled to be featured in the Spear’s School Index for 2026.
It represents a significant honour, especially given that only 23 preparatory schools were included this year.
The school takes immense pride in the enriching, comprehensive and varied educational programme it provides and is grateful for this recognition from Spear’s.
Youngsters are afforded numerous chances to explore fresh interests, refine current abilities and participate in an intimate community that forms the foundation of the school’s ethos.
They are supported by a dedicated team of staff who are passionate about developing intelligence, talent and a desire to learn.
The Spear’s Index, now in its sixth edition, encompasses institutions from Thailand, Hong Kong, South Korea, Abu Dhabi, Luxembourg and the United Kingdom, compiled with input from a broad spectrum of education experts and specialists in partnership with Thuso Group.
